Delete your Prepi account
You can delete your Prepi account at any time. This also deletes the data that belongs to your account.
In the app (iPhone and Android)
- Tap your profile picture in the top right to open Settings.
- Tap Account, then Delete Account.
- Confirm with Delete Account and sign in with Apple or Google once more for security.
Your account is deleted right away and you are signed out. This cannot be undone.
Without the app
Don’t have Prepi installed any more? Email hello@prepi.food from the address you use to sign in to Prepi, with the subject “Delete account”. We delete your account within 30 days and confirm it by email. If we can’t find your account from the sender address (for example because you chose “Hide My Email” with Apple), we’ll ask.
What is deleted
- Your Prepi account (the sign-in with Apple or Google). With Apple, the app also ends the “Sign in with Apple” connection.
- Your recipes and their images, meal plans, shopping lists, collections and saved recipes
- Profile picture, dietary preferences, your AI permission and your AI usage
- Unlocked Premium recipes and the link between your subscription and your account
- Support requests in our database, invitations you sent and the creators you follow
Shared household
If you are a member of a household, you leave it: what is shared in the household (shared recipes, meal plans and shopping list) stays for the other members. If you created the household, it is dissolved: the other members keep their own recipes and saved recipes, everything else in the household is deleted.
What remains
- An active subscription is not cancelled. Cancel it first where you took it out: on Google Play or in the App Store. Invoices and payment details are held by Google or Apple, not by us.
- Emails you sent us stay in our mailbox for as long as we need them for follow-up questions.
- Backups of our database expire after 28 days at most; until then they may still contain deleted data. Technical logs of our servers expire after 30 days. Audit logs of our cloud provider that record administrative actions such as the deletion itself are kept for up to 400 days.
- Prepi Studio (creator) accounts can’t be deleted in the app. Email us and we’ll delete them together with your published recipes.
