Creator Terms

These terms apply to everyone who publishes recipes in Prepi Studio and earns money with them. Using the app is also subject to the Terms of Use.
The essentials
- You only publish recipes, photos and videos you hold the rights to.
- You earn USD 0.20 every time someone saves one of your recipes to their recipes – once per person and recipe, once per household.
- Earnings are settled monthly and paid out to your bank account once they reach USD 50.
- You are responsible for taxes and contributions on your earnings.
- Without accepting these terms you can still publish recipes, but you won’t earn anything.
1. Scope and contracting party
Your contracting party is Anton Garic, operator of Prepi (address below under “Contact”), “Prepi”. These terms govern how you publish recipes as a creator in Prepi Studio (studio.prepi.food) and how Prepi pays you for them. They apply from the moment you accept them in Prepi Studio.
2. Becoming a creator
To become a creator, you apply with your profile in Prepi Studio. Prepi reviews the application and approves or declines it; there is no right to be approved. You must be at least 18 years old and provide truthful information. Your account is personal and may not be passed on.
3. Your content
- You only publish recipes, texts, photos and videos that you created yourself or hold the necessary rights to. People recognisable in photos or videos have agreed to it.
- You state ingredients, quantities and method correctly to the best of your knowledge. Allergen and nutrition information in the app are estimates and do not replace your own check.
- You are responsible for your content. Prepi does not review it in advance but may hide or remove it at any time if it violates these terms or applicable law.
4. Rights to your content
Your content stays yours. You grant Prepi the non-exclusive, worldwide right, for as long as the content is published, to show it in the Prepi app, on prepi.food and in advertising for Prepi, to adapt it technically (for example image size, units, nutrition calculation, shopping list) and to make it available to users for planning, saving and cooking. If you remove a recipe, Prepi no longer shows it, including to people who saved it. Anything they already added to their shopping list stays there. Earnings you already made remain yours.
5. Saves
- All recipes are free to read. Every published recipe is fully visible to everyone in the Prepi app, including ingredients and method. There are no locked recipes.
- Save: you are paid when a person saves one of your recipes to their recipes. People with a Prepi subscription have a monthly allowance for this; people without a subscription have a limited number of free uses.
- Not paid: repeated saves of the same recipe by the same person or within one household, and all saves before you accepted the current version of these terms.
6. Earnings and payouts
- You earn USD 0.20 per paid save. Prepi may change this amount for the future and announces it in Prepi Studio at least 30 days in advance.
- On the 1st of each month, Prepi settles the previous month. If your balance is below USD 50, it is carried over to the next month and does not expire. If the collaboration ends, Prepi pays out a remaining balance below USD 50 on request.
- Payouts go to your own bank account in its currency; to receive them, you enter your bank details in Prepi Studio. Prepi converts the USD amount at the exchange rate of the payout day and shows rate and amount on the statement. Prepi covers transfer fees.
- Prepi may withhold or reclaim a payout if saves were clearly manipulated (for example through your own second accounts) or abuse is suspected, until the matter is resolved.
7. Taxes and contributions
You are responsible for paying tax on your earnings and any contributions (for example social security or VAT). The monthly statements in Prepi Studio help you with this. All amounts include any applicable VAT.
8. What is not allowed
- publishing other people’s recipes, photos or videos without permission;
- dangerous, misleading or unlawful content;
- generating saves artificially, for example through your own second accounts, bought accounts or arrangements;
- undisclosed advertising for third parties. Brand collaborations are allowed if you label them clearly in the recipe, for example “in collaboration with …”.
9. Pausing, termination and suspension
You can stop at any time: take recipes out of the app or delete them in Prepi Studio, and write to hello@prepi.food to end the collaboration. Prepi can end the collaboration with 30 days’ notice, or immediately in case of serious violations of these terms. Prepi pays out the balance earned until the end according to section 6, unless it is based on abuse.
10. Liability
Prepi provides Prepi Studio and the app without guarantee of uninterrupted availability and is liable only to the extent mandatory law requires. You indemnify Prepi against third-party claims arising from your content. [Scope of liability to be reviewed by a professional]
11. Changes to these terms
Prepi may change these terms. Prepi announces a new version in Prepi Studio and asks for your consent. Until you accept the new version, you can keep publishing recipes, but you cannot enter bank details or earn new money. Balances you have already earned remain yours.
12. Privacy
How Prepi processes your data, including your bank details for payouts, is described in the Privacy Policy. Prepi stores your acceptance of these terms with version and time.
13. Applicable law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies. Place of jurisdiction is Prepi’s registered location in Switzerland, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
